Garmin

You probably have their satnav in your car

Working with the award winning, creative brilliance of advertising film director Andreas Hafele we created a series of ads for Garmin, which changed the way both Europe and America did their videos.

Blending beautifully shot and considered videography with feature driven motion graphics we were able to sell the benefits and lifestyle of Garmin's products without compromising on the aesthetics

Beyond just the videos, our infectious style penetrated to the print ads. Even bringing graphics into them and prompting the requirement for many, many photo-shoots to be done under Make_Studio's banner.

From the sketchbook:

Drawing inspiration from films like 'Stranger than fiction' and 'The Carpenter' we had intentions for some beautifully complex and interesting graphics. Sadly compromises had to be made to accommodate for multiple languages and budgets meaning we were mostly limited to numbers and symbols to explain the features.

Made in Scotland

Bred in Wales, educated in Cornwall and working in England. Living among the cafés, coffee shops and clichés of Christchurch. Plumen light bulbs dangle in pendants above the dining room table, Bertoia diamond chairs are draped in fur throws and a rosewood Eames lounger is home to an owl shaped cushion with button eyes. I’ve operated under the guise of a designer since 2008, dabbling in the ink, pixels and vectors of brand and building between the parentheses of web development.
